Find On-Campus Student Jobs
Find out how to search and apply for part-time student worker positions in various on-campus departments!
Handshake is your key resource to obtaining information on work-study and non-work study jobs. Once logged in, go to “Jobs” –> “Position Type” to narrow down the job results for on-campus positions.
Another way to access jobs posted to Handshake is to log in to my.usc.edu. Add the Handshake widget to your home screen. There you can see current job postings on the “Student Jobs” tab.
The majority of position openings starting in the fall semester are historically posted by the first or second week of August. However, on-campus departments continue to post positions throughout the year based on need. Two days after you register for your classes, you will be able to register for a Handshake account and have access to employment listings.
USC Career Center holds On-Campus Student Job Fairs during move-in week, which is the week before classes begin. Please review our On-Campus Student Job Fair page for specific details.
Many departments use our Handshake portal to post their positions but some departments choose to use their own websites. A list of departments not using Handshake is below.
When applying to positions, make sure to follow the directions in the posting closely and tailor your application materials to meet the needs of the position requirements. Along with a resume, we recommend attaching a cover letter and a schedule with your work availability.
The following departments do not use Handshake for their job postings. Read on for individual department information.
