Supply Chain Field Operations Internship
Supply Chain Field Operations leads the physical logistics, inventory management, and purchased services management functions within Supply Chain. Our teams are located at the hospitals and other clinical care locations across the ministry. Our key responsibilities are to provide direct support to the leadership and clinical teams for all Supply Chain activities. This includes oversight of our clinical supply inventories, management of inbound and outbound freight, management of vendor relationships and service performance all with the goal of ensuring our clinical and administrative teams have the supplies and services necessary to provide excellent care to our patients and manage our facilities.
Supply Chain Field Operations Internship Role Details
This role would report to the Executive Director within Supply Chain Field Operations and would be responsible for direct project support on the numerous ongoing projects within Supply Chain Field Operations. This is a great opportunity for anyone with a bias toward action who would enjoy jumping in and learning the skills necessary to organize and conduct operations within a hospital and across a large network of hospitals.
Dates: Monday, June 3rd – Friday, August 30th, 2024
Hours: 40 hours per week for 12 weeks
Responsibilities :

Organization, follow-up, and accomplishment of various deliverables across a variety of projects

Aggregate data and provide summary analytics support for project work

Research and gather documentation for initial prep and edits of Standard Operating Procedures and Policies

Shadow positions; physical observation, understanding, and documentation of job processes
Qualifications:

Strong interest in business practices, operations, and process design.

Good operational knowledge of Microsoft Office
-
Assertive with ability to lead and drive projects to completion including following up with others on outstanding deliverables

Willingness to travel short distances to facilities if required
