Job Description: Health Promotion Strategy Student Worker
The USC Student Health, Office for Health Promotion Strategy (HPS) serves as the administrative unit for the USC Well-being Collective. Utilizing a Collective Impact Framework, the Collective is a coalition of academic schools, administrative units, and student organizations committed to advancing a common agenda of strengthening a campus culture driven by well-being. This role will support HPS with operationalizing one of the five conditions of the Framework, continuous communication, to support the Collective.
HPS is hiring a student worker who will report to the Assistant Director of Dissemination and Publication.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Assist with general office duties
- Assist with special projects
- Organize and design visual materials (powerpoints, reports, newsletter, flyers, etc.) for final publication on various channels
- Assist with creating engaging and professional materials (e.g., templates, invitations) based on target audience
- Support with recruitment for events, surveys, focus groups etc.

- Knowledge of graphic design
- Highly collaborative, professional, and accepts and applies feedback to improve materials
- Basic understanding of public health, equity, and health promotion
Logistics
Pay Rate: $17.60 per hour
Hours: approximately 10 hours per week
Work Location and Schedule: Office location is Engemann Student Health 201. Hours must be scheduled during office hours 9 am – 5:00 pm, M – F.
Minimum commitment: Summer 2024 – Summer 2026 preferred; tentative start date in July 2024
