Professional Integrity Contract

This contract is valid for the Fall 2017 & Spring 2018 semesters.

The purpose of this contract is to inform students of their responsibility to conduct themselves appropriately and ethically in all interactions with employers. By agreeing to the terms in this contract, students acknowledge that they are aware of the policies and procedures set forth by the USC Career Center. Please review each section before submitting this contract.

FALSIFYING INFORMATION: Providing false or plagiarized information in my connectSC profile, resume, application materials, or on employer career portals or other partner sites to meet interview/hiring requirements is unethical. Students who falsify or plagiarize information will be suspended from further participation in On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) and/or use of connectSC for six months. Other university sanctions may also apply.

INTERVIEWS: I will conduct myself in a professional and respectful manner in all communications and interactions with employers and recruiters. If I need to cancel an OCR interview, I will do so on connectSC at least three days prior to the interview date to avoid a “No-Show” status. If there is an emergency, I will notify the USC Career Center by phone at (213) 740- 9105. I understand that if I cancel my interview less than three business days prior to the scheduled interview or do not show for the interview, I will be granted a “No-Show” status and will be suspended from further use of OCR/connectSC for six months.

ACCEPTING AN OFFER: If I am considering two or more offers, I will consult with a staff member from the USC Career Center or school-based career service office before making any final decision. After I accept an official offer for employment (for any type of position, including internships and fellowships), my OCR access may be suspended until the subsequent term. I will also discontinue further recruiting and/or interviewing with all other employers and inform the Employer Relations and Research Team at the USC Career Center of my accepted offer by email at recruit@usc.edu.

RENEGING: If I renege or withdraw on an accepted offer, my connectSC access may be suspended for a period of six months. Consequences of reneging or withdrawing acceptances may apply to me whether or not the opportunity was found through connectSC. Industries are small and recruiters are well connected; I could potentially harm my professional reputation resulting in limited opportunities for myself and fellow Trojans. I have read and understand the content of this contract. I understand that if I do not adhere to any part of this contract, there will be consequences. If I do not understand any part of this contract, I agree to seek clarification from a staff member of the USC Career Center before I sign/acknowledge this contract.
