2024 Career Planning & Resources Certificate Program
The Career Planning and Resources Certificate Program (CPRC), is a comprehensive professional development opportunity tailored for USC staff, academic & career advisors, and faculty. This certificate program is meticulously designed to elevate awareness of the myriad resources available at the USC Career Center, empowering participants to better support our diverse student body in their career journeys.
EVENT FORMAT
The 2024 CPRC program was offered in a hybrid format. The program started with the in-person kick-off event on Tuesday, May 21st, followed by an easy-to-follow asynchronous module, and virtual student population discussions held the following week from May 27th to 31st.
TARGET AUDIENCE
USC staff, academic & career advisors, and faculty.
CERTIFICATE REQUIREMENTS
2024 CPRC participants were required to attend the in-person Open House Kick-Off Event, complete the asynchronous Resources and Technology Module, and join AT LEAST 2 SESSIONS of the virtual Targeted Student Populations Discussions

Open House Kick-Off Event
In-person – Tuesday, May 21st from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM PT
- Meet the Staff & Overview of Services
- Breakfast & Networking: Connecting, Collaborating, and Celebrating with Colleagues
- School Year 2023-2024 Highlights Gallery Walk
- IRIS Photo Booth (Free Professional Headshots)
Resources and Technology Module
Asynchronous – due by Friday, May 24th at 11:59 PM PT
- Release Module during Open House Kick-Off Event
OPTIONAL: Module Assistance & Resources Walk-through
- Thursday, May 23rd from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM PT
Targeted Student Populations Discussions (TSPD) Must attend at least 2 sessions
Virtual – Thursday, May 23rd & Wednesday, May 29th
