Data Center GPU Performance Engineering Intern
Our team ensures our customers and development teams understand and realize the full potential of AMD’s data center GPU products with Machine Learning, Cloud Gaming, and HPC applications. We are seeking an enthusiastic student to join our team to participate in both hardware and software projects focused on GPU-accelerated application performance.
Run and analyze performance benchmarks to measure and understand GPU accelerated workloads for
Cloud Gaming, deployed in platforms like Stadia
Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence (AI)
High Performance Computing (HPC) i.e. applications like AMBER or NAMD
Study and evaluate variables that impact system performance: GPU, CPU, RAM, OS, drivers, etc.
Perform statistical analysis of benchmarking results, including competitive comparisons
Improve and innovate upon existing tools for running, measuring and analyzing application performance
Curiosity for performance analysis of computer systems, emergent data center technologies, and Graphics applications and technologies
Enthusiasm for automation/scripting tools including configuration management tools, such as Ansible
Knowledge of Windows or Linux operating systems. Comfort with terminal commands.
Strong communications and time management skills
WAYS TO STAND OUT:
Passion for computer architecture and working hands-on with computer hardware
Experience using AMD or Nvidia GPU compute products
Familiarity with data visualization, to enhance in-house tools using Tableau, PowerBI or Jupyter Notebooks
Student enrolled in B.S. degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
