Frequently Asked Questions

What is i3? What does the day of i3 look like?

i3 is a multi-day event of educational panels where students attend to learn about what it is like to work in the event’s chosen industry and how to enter the field. Learn firsthand from organizations and get your resume shared with participating organizations!

Can ______ industry have an i3 event? My student organization is interested in collaborating.
We consider industries the semester prior to the event (i.e., for Fall 2022, we select industries in Summer 2022). Email interns@usc.edu the semester before your desired event with industry suggestions you would like to see. Priority will be given to student organizations that are willing to collaborate with the Career Center for the event.

Collaboration perks include: (1) being highlighted as a co-sponsor in the Career Center’s i3 marketing (social media, online, and print), (2) providing a list of desired employers to the Career Center for targeted outreach, and (3) moderating the employer panel alongside a career center representative.

Where is the event located?

We will be hosting i3 virtually in the Fall 2022 semester. To access the educational panel portions for i3, please register for the Zoom Webinar’s through this list:

Please be sure to register on connectSC in order to get your resume shared with employers.

How should I prepare for i3?
We recommend researching the companies registered to attend beforehand so that you can ask specific questions about their internship opportunities through the Q&A.

What should I wear for the event?
There is no specific dress code for i3, however, since you may be video calling with employers, we do recommend business casual dress.

Should I bring copies of my resume?
Yes, it is required to upload your resume on connectSC.

What if I cannot attend an i3 event?
If you are unable to attend due to a scheduling conflict, we will record the panel portion of the events and will be available on our YouTube Channel after the event.
