Exclusive Virtual Resume Writing Service

The USC Career Center is pleased to offer alumni who graduated four or more years ago access to certified professional resume writers at a discounted rate. One of the first steps to being hired is developing a customized resume as your key marketing tool.

Writing a resume can be a difficult, frustrating process—regardless of work experience or writing expertise. TopResume provides USC alumni with over 300 certified professional resume writers who specialize in 60 professions and industries and give unbiased constructive feedback.

Career Information, Research, and Opportunities

ConnectSC: Among the many offerings of connectSC is an exclusive online job listing portal for USC students and alumni. Employers who are interested in hiring Trojans may post jobs on connectSC complimentary. There are nearly 4,000 jobs posted at any given time.

Careerbeam is a self-paced comprehensive virtual career management tool that allows alumni to clarify career goals, develop professional resumes and cover letters, prepare for interviews, develop a network, access jobs and implement a strategic job search. This service is sponsored by the USC Career Center and USC Alumni Association. Alumni may access Careerbeam through their connectSC alumni account.

Going Global is a comprehensive database that provides career information regarding working in the United States and abroad. This resource includes information on work permit and visa regulations, country-specific resume and CV samples, interview and cultural advice, employment outlook, industry trends, professional and social networking groups. The database also contains 44 United States city career guides and six Canadian city career guides as well as 16 million worldwide job and internship opportunities and 450,000 corporate organization profiles. Also included are 34 country guides and employment resources for more than 80 worldwide locations. Alumni may access Going Global through their connectSC alumni account.

The Career Access Resource Library (CARL) allows alumni to search hardcopy and online resources for career exploration. This resource includes thousands of websites covering career exploration, industries, and professional associations, as well as domestic and international job directories.

libguide provides tips on researching professional associations, companies, industries, executives or building lists of companies. It also includes access to USC librarians.

The USC Career Center and USC Alumni Association offer a diverse portfolio of generational and industry specific alumni career events for the Trojan family. Thousands of alumni engage through our global online webinars, job fairs and regional events. These events provide alumni with opportunities to sharpen critical career-related skills, explore various industries, network with employers and fellow Trojans, and learn more about current and future employment trends.

USC School-Based Career Services

In addition to the Career Center, many of the school-based career centers or professionals offer career services to their graduates. We strongly encourage alumni to leverage all career resources offered throughout USC.
