Internship Course Credit

If you have a paid internship, you DO NOT need to sign up for an Internship Course.

• EXCEPTION: F-1 international students participating in a paid internship are required to receive Curricular Practical Training (CPT) authorization from OIS which requires enrolling in an internship course at USC. F-1 international students participating in an unpaid internship should contact OIS for more details regarding work authorization requirements.

If you have an unpaid internship, you MUST have one of the following:
(under the Fair Labor Standards Act, issued by the Federal Government)

• Be enrolled in an internship course
• Receive monetary compensation
