Join the Los Angeles Clippers for the first ever Sports Entertainment Career Forum focusing on NBA Game Presentation and Sports Marketing! Students will learn first hand what it takes to become the Clippers Director of Communication, Vice President of Sales, Vice President of Marketing and numerous other positions with the Clippers. This will be an extraordinary opportunity for students to get a behind the scenes look at Sports Marketing in the NBA.

Meet and greet professionals in your field of interest including promotions, public relations, marketing, communications and sales.
Learn how a game is coordinated from start to finish
Find out about full time positions and available internships

Tickets are $20.00 each for Upper Level seats, and $50.00 each for Lowe Level seats.

Ticket includes admission to the Career Forum and one seat to the NBA game featuring Barn Davis, Marcus Camby, and the Clippers as they take on Dwight Howard, Vince Carter, and the Orlando Magic. Additional tickets may be purchased while supplies last.

This event is intended for undergraduates who graduated in August 2009 or will graduate in December 2009.

This one-Day workshop designed for you to:

Develop targeted resumes
Practice effective interviewing skills
Engage with a panel of employers
Acquire top notch networking techniques
Learn to negotiate job offers
Customize an action plan

Panelists include representatives from the following organizations:

Lunch will be provided, compliments of the CPPC.

Registration is required for this event. You also will need to provide a $10 refundable deposit after you register, which you can drop off at the Career Planning & Placement Center, located in STU 110. Your seat is not secure until you provide this deposit.

Please note: Check-in begins at 8:45 am.

The Career Planning & Placement Center is offering a summer internship program, Dream Dollars.

The Dream Dollars program is a unique scholarship program for undergraduates. It provides stipends for USC students who receive unpaid internships with a non-profit or government organization. This program is currently in its second year and will support students hoping to gain work experience from an unpaid internship. Students will be selected through an application and interview process. All internships must be a minimum of six weeks during the summer. The program provides a stipend of $1,200 for each student.

The Scheyer Family Scholarship for Summer Interns, established in December of 2007, will provide an award of $2,500.00 to two students enrolled in approved summer internships. Preference will be given to sophomores, juniors or seniors with demonstrated financial need. Student recipients should have a major in the USC College of Letters, Arts & Sciences and must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
